The Talley 840700SM Scope Mount/Ring Combo delivers a lightweight, simplified one-piece ring and base solution for Remington 700, 721, 722, 725, and 40X short action rifles. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a durable black anodized coating, this two-piece integrated mount combines the rigidity of a traditional base with the precision of Talley’s signature ring design, eliminating the need for a separate base and ring set.
Built around 34mm scope tubes with medium height rings, the 840700SM sits at a front mount height of 0.512″ and a rear height of 0.650″, providing clearance for a wide range of common objective bell diameters while maintaining a comfortable cheek weld. The integrated ring and base is pre-canted at 20 MOA, adding elevation to help compensate for bullet drop at extended distances when paired with a flat-base scope.
Talley’s one-piece design clamps directly to the receiver using the action’s existing 6-48 screw holes, creating a secure, repeatable mounting platform.
