Description
The Howa M1500 HS Precision is a bolt action hunting rifle chambered in 308 Win and built around Howa’s proven M1500 action. This configuration pairs a 22″ threaded barrel in a 2 standard contour with the renowned HS Precision composite stock, delivering the rigidity, repeatable bedding, and field-friendly handling that have made this platform a long-time favorite among hunters and precision shooters.
At the heart of the rifle is the M1500 bolt action outfitted with a two-stage trigger and a three-position safety. The steel receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases and finished in a blued/black metal finish, while the barrel is cut with a 1:10″ twist and threaded at 1/2×28. Howa backs this setup with a Sub-MOA accuracy guarantee from the factory, making it a strong out-of-the-box performer for both hunting and longer-range field work.
The fixed HS Precision stock is constructed from a blend of Kevlar, fiberglass, and carbon fiber molded around an aluminum bedding block, giving it excellent rigidity and shot-to-shot consistency. The tan/black webbed stock finish gives the rifle a distinctive, classic sporting look. This is a right-hand configuration with an overall length of 41.50″ and a weight of 7.60 lbs, balancing well for field carry and steady shooting from a bench, prone, or off-hand. Optics mount directly to the receiver’s drilled and tapped holes.
