Description
The Howa M1500 Mini Hunter is a compact bolt-action rifle built around Howa’s Mini Action platform, featuring a chamber and bolt that are roughly 12 percent shorter than a standard short action for a lighter, more compact package that still delivers full-size accuracy. Chambered in .223 Remington, this rifle pairs a 22-inch blued threaded barrel with a 1:8″ twist suitable for a wide range of bullet weights, and is fed from an internal 5-round magazine for an honest 5+1 capacity. The action is paired with a blued drilled and tapped steel receiver, giving shooters a clean mounting surface for optics, and the rifle ships with no factory sights installed.
At the heart of the action is Howa’s well-regarded two-stage match trigger, adjustable for a clean, crisp break, and a traditional 3-position safety for positive control. The rifle wears a classic walnut fixed stock with a brown finish group, giving the Mini Hunter a traditional sporter profile that is equally at home on the range, in the field, or as a lightweight truck gun. Overall length is 39.5″ and weight comes in at 7 lbs, making this an easy-carry platform for hunters and recreational shooters alike. The threaded muzzle makes it ready for a suppressor or muzzle brake of the shooter’s choice, and the right-hand configuration suits the majority of right-handed shooters.
The Mini Hunter brings the well-known accuracy and value of the M1500 line to a shorter, lighter package, with the proven reliability that has made Howa a favorite among hunters and precision shooters. Whether you are looking for a varmint and predator rifle, a lightweight hunting rifle, or a fun and accurate .223 Rem bolt gun for the range, the M1500 Mini Hunter delivers classic looks and modern performance in one tidy package.
