Description
The Streamlight TLR-8 Sub is a compact, rail-mounted tactical weapon light purpose-built for subcompact 1913 short railed pistols. Delivering 500 lumens of white LED output with a beam reach of 141 meters, this unit pairs a high-intensity illumination source with an integrated red aiming laser in a single, low-profile package designed specifically for shorter railed handgun platforms.
Constructed from aircraft grade aluminum with a durable black anodized finish, the TLR-8 Sub weighs just 2.77 oz and uses a quick-detach rail clamp system engineered for 1913 Picatinny short rails. The integrated red laser operates at a 640-660 nM wavelength for precise aiming in any lighting condition, giving shooters a confident secondary aiming reference alongside the primary white LED beam.
Power is supplied by a single CR123A lithium battery, providing up to 1.5 hours of continuous run time in light-only or light/laser combo mode, and up to 60 hours of laser-only operation. Next-generation rear paddle switches with high and low activation options let you customize the light to your shooting style, while a safe-off feature prevents accidental activation during storage, transport, or holstering.
As the subcompact variant of Streamlight’s proven TLR-8 platform, the TLR-8 Sub delivers the same reliable performance trusted by law enforcement and armed citizens in a form factor optimized for today’s shorter railed concealed-carry pistols. Whether for duty, home defense, or everyday carry, this light/laser combo provides the illumination and aiming capability needed for confident target acquisition in low-light environments.
