Description
The Streamlight TLR-8 G Sub is a compact rail-mounted weapon light engineered specifically for subcompact pistols equipped with 1913 short rails. It pairs a powerful 500-lumen white LED with a daylight-visible 510-530nm green aiming laser in a single low-profile housing, giving shooters an illuminator and an aiming reference from one set of rear paddle switches.
The white LED produces 500 lumens and 5,000 candela, throwing a focused beam out to 141 meters. Run time is 1.5 hours on the light setting, while laser-only operation stretches runtime to 11 hours from a single CR123A lithium battery. Three operating modes – light only, laser only, or both engaged simultaneously – are selected through the rear switches for instant mode changes under stress.
The housing is machined aluminum with a durable black anodized finish, keeping total weight to just 2.77 oz. A secure rail clamp locks the unit to 1913 Picatinny short rails on subcompact handgun slides, and the TLR-8 G Sub is built weather resistant for reliable everyday carry and field use. This is a purpose-built lighting and aiming solution for short-railed subcompact pistols.
