Description
The Savage 1911 Government is a premium semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP, built around an all-stainless steel frame and slide with a rugged matte stainless finish. Designed for hard use, the slide and frame are hand-selected and matched, and the pistol carries the classic Government-length profile that has defined the 1911 platform for over a century.
At the heart of this 1911 is a 5-inch stainless steel target crown barrel machined from billet with an 11-degree target crown for accuracy. The slide is machined from 416 stainless steel and finished with serrations for positive press checks and manipulations. A beavertail grip safety is integrated into the matte stainless steel frame for comfortable carry and improved recoil management.
Shooters will appreciate the premium touches packed into this Savage 1911: a dual recoil spring system for reduced felt recoil and long-term durability, a fully machined sear and disconnector for a clean, crisp trigger, and an ambidextrous thumb safety that makes the pistol equally usable by left- and right-handed shooters. The sight picture pairs a white dot front with a Novak Lo-Mount black rear sight for fast, intuitive target acquisition.
This Government model holds 8+1 rounds of .45 ACP and ships with two included magazines. Combining premium materials, modern features, and Savage’s renowned manufacturing quality, the 67202 is a hard-use 1911 ready for the range or defensive carry.
