Description
The Heritage Mfg Rough Rider Rancher is a unique single-action revolver-action carbine chambered in 22 LR. Designed to bridge the gap between rifle and revolver, this full-size Rancher offers the simplicity and portability of a handgun-style firing system in a long-gun package that’s fun at the range, comfortable for plinking, and well suited to small-game hunting.
At the heart of the carbine is a 16.12″ alloy steel barrel with a black finish, paired with a case hardened stainless steel receiver. The action is a traditional single-action only (SAO) revolver mechanism fed from an internal cylinder holding 6 rounds of .22 LR. A manual safety is fitted for carry confidence, and the rifle is configured for right-handed shooting.
The Rancher wears a fixed camo-pattern laminated wood stock that complements the case hardened finish and gives the carbine a classic field look. Iron sights are traditional: a fixed front blade paired with an adjustable buckhorn rear. The carbine measures 32″ overall, weighs just 4.12 lbs, and comes ready to carry with an included leather sling.
With a 1:16″ RH twist, traditional single-action revolver ergonomics, and a 6-round capacity, the Rough Rider Rancher is a versatile, lightweight rimfire carbine aimed at casual plinking, introductory training, and small-game hunting, all at an approachable price point that has made Heritage’s Rough Rider line a long-time favorite of budget-minded shooters.
