- Additional information
This is the Remington Carrier Dog Washer for the Remington 870, 1100, 11-87, 11-48, 878, 887 and Sportsman 58 shotguns.
Remington carried the same trigger plate design across both its pump and autoloading lines, which is why one small washer covers guns as far apart as the 11-48 of the late 1940s and the 887 of the 2000s, and pumps and autoloaders alike.
Included: One of the washers pictured. Sold individually.
Fits:
- Remington 870
- Remington 1100
- Remington 11-87
- Remington 11-48
- Remington Sportsman 58
- Remington 878
- Remington 887
Fitting: The carrier dog washer sits on the carrier dog pin in the trigger plate assembly, spacing and retaining the carrier dog. It is a small part and easy to lose during disassembly, which is the usual reason one is needed. After installation, check with the gun empty that the carrier lifts and returns freely and that dummy shells feed and cycle without binding before loading.
Please note: Buyer is responsible for verifying correct fit for their specific firearm. Installation should be performed by a qualified gunsmith. Please review all photos, as they are part of the description and show the actual item you will receive.
Condition: Used carrier dog washers, blued with light finish wear and fine scratches across the faces. No rust or pitting. Holes are clean with no elongation, the edges are true with no burring. Washers are flat with no dishing or distortion.
