Description
The Hornady ELD-X is a technologically advanced, match-accurate, all-range hunting bullet featuring one of the highest ballistic coefficients in its class. This box of 22 Cal (.224) 80 grain projectiles uses a polymer tip that holds its shape through handling and firing, helping each bullet retain its sleek, aerodynamic profile from magazine to target.
Built around a lead core and wrapped in a tough copper AMP jacket, the ELD-X is engineered for controlled expansion across the full velocity spectrum. The streamlined profile and ballistic coefficient of .485 (with a sectional density of .228) help maintain velocity and energy downrange. Terminal performance delivers deep penetration and large wound cavities, with typical weight retention of 85% to 90% of the bullet’s original mass.
Sized to a .224 diameter with no cannelure, these projectiles are intended for handloaders who set their own overall length and seating depth. Each box contains 100 bullets, with 25 boxes per case for high-volume reloaders.
