Description
The Ruger Hawkeye FTW Hunter is a purpose-built bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. This left-hand configuration pairs a 22″ matte stainless steel threaded barrel with a stainless steel receiver and an HS Precision speckled tan/black synthetic stock – a rifle built for serious hunters and precision shooters who demand reliable performance in the field.
At the heart of the FTW Hunter is Ruger’s proven M77 Hawkeye action featuring a non-rotating, Mauser-type controlled round feed extractor – the most positive case extraction system Ruger produces. The hinged, solid-steel floorplate provides a traditional 4+1 internal magazine capacity, and the action is topped with an integrated Picatinny rail for straightforward scope mounting. No iron sights are installed, keeping the rifle optics-ready out of the box.
The cold hammer-forged barrel is finished in matte stainless and is threaded 5/8×24 to accept the included Ruger Muzzle Brake System or other compatible muzzle devices. The barrel’s 1:8″ twist stabilizes the wide range of bullet weights used in 6.5 Creedmoor hunting and match applications. An LC6 trigger delivers a clean, crisp break, and a 3-position safety allows the shooter to unload the chamber while keeping the safety engaged.
The HS Precision synthetic stock features a speckled tan and black finish, providing a rigid, weather-resistant platform with ergonomic grip panels. At 8.10 lbs unloaded and an overall length of 44.25″, the FTW Hunter balances well for both spot-and-stalk and blind hunting. The left-hand configuration makes this rifle an excellent choice for southpaw shooters or anyone who prefers a left-side bolt handle.
