Description
The Kel-Tec SU-22 is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle chambered in 22 LR, designed as a lightweight, low-recoil platform for plinking, training, and small-game hunting. Weighing in at just 4 lbs, this full-size rifle delivers the ergonomics and handling of a tactical platform without the bulk of a centerfire.
The SU-22 operates via a blowback action using a 4140 steel bolt that rides on steel guide rails inside the receiver. Its 16.10″ threaded barrel, finished in black, accepts standard muzzle accessories and pairs with a 1:16″ twist rate well-suited for standard 22 LR projectiles. Overall length measures 34″.
The receiver is molded in OD Green polymer with an integrated OD Green Picatinny rail running along the top, providing a ready mounting platform for optics, red dots, or backup iron sights. The rifle ships with adjustable iron sights as standard. A crossbolt safety and a clean single-stage trigger round out the controls. This model is configured for right-hand shooters.
Feeding is handled by a detachable 26-round magazine, giving the SU-22 plenty of trigger time between reloads. The OD Green synthetic stock incorporates a built-in storage compartment in the buttstock for keeping small tools, batteries, or other range essentials close at hand.
A practical, no-nonsense rimfire rifle from Kel-Tec, the SU-22 offers the look and feel of a modern sporting rifle in an affordable, low-recoil package.
