Description
The Caldwell 5″ AR500 Steel Gong is a reactive 5″ round steel target laser-cut from 1/4″ through-hardened AR500 steel and finished in a high-visibility yellow for easy spotting at extended distances. Designed for rimfire and non-magnum handgun use, the plate is rated to handle impacts up to 3,000 FPS and 3,500 ft-lbs of energy, making it well-suited to casual plinking, sight-in practice, and skill-building drills alike.
When the gong is hit, it gives a satisfying audible ring and instantly bounces back into position, giving you immediate shot-to-shot feedback. The rugged AR500 construction stands up to repeated strikes from common rimfire and non-magnum handgun rounds when hung at the manufacturer-recommended distance. The generous 5″ face presents an easy-to-acquire aim point while keeping the plate light enough for a wide variety of common target hangers and stands.
Whether you are dialing in a new optic at the range, building out a rimfire practice course, or simply want a loud, fun reactive target to ring between drills, this yellow Caldwell AR500 gong delivers the classic “ding” and reliable performance shot after shot.
