Description
Lehigh Defense Controlled Chaos lead-free reloading bullets are a .224 caliber, 45 gr projectile engineered for handloads in 223 Remington, 22-250 Remington, and 5.56x45mm NATO. The Controlled Chaos design uses a monolithic all-copper construction with pre-scored, forward-mounted petals that hold together through intermediate barriers and clothing, then deploy on impact with fluid to deliver a wide, permanent wound channel while still driving to vital depth.
Each bullet measures 0.710 in overall length and carries a .222 ballistic coefficient with a .128 sectional density, making it an effective varmint and predator option. A 1:12 in twist is recommended, with a suggested cartridge overall length of 2.350 in. With copper used for both the jacket and core, these projectiles are a true lead-free choice that suits hunters working in lead-restricted areas, varmint and predator control, and defensive handloaders building their own controlled-fragmentation ammunition.
Bullets are packed 50 per box and proudly made in the USA to Lehigh Defense’s exacting tolerances, giving reloaders a consistent, barrier-blind projectile for everything from high-volume coyote loads to AR-pattern defensive handloads.
