Description
- Additional information
This is the Browning Auto-5 carrier spring, the new style that mounts on the trigger plate.
The A-5 uses two arrangements. The earlier spring seats in the receiver; this one mounts on the trigger plate and is a different shape. Pull the trigger plate and look — if the spring comes out with it, this is your part.
It is also one of the parts used to convert an early one-piece carrier gun to the two-piece Speed Load system.
Auto-5 parts fit the Belgian FN and Japanese Miroku guns, not the Remington Model 11 or the Browning-marked Auto-5s that Remington built during the Second World War.
Included: Carrier spring only, the exact part pictured.
Fits:
- Browning Auto-5 in 16 gauge, including the Sweet Sixteen
- Browning Auto-5 in 20 gauge and 20 Magnum
- Belgian FN and Japanese Miroku production
- Guns with the carrier spring mounted on the trigger plate
Does not fit:
- Guns with the earlier receiver-mounted carrier spring, unless converting
- Remington Model 11
- Browning-marked Auto-5s built by Remington during the Second World War
- Savage Model 720 and Model 745
Fitting: Have it fitted by a gunsmith familiar with the Auto-5. Confirm the carrier moves freely and returns under spring pressure before the gun is used.
Please note: Buyer is responsible for verifying correct fit for their specific firearm. Installation should be performed by a qualified gunsmith. Please review all photos, as they are part of the description and show the actual item you will receive.
Condition: Sale is for one NEW factory original spring
