This is the Stock Bolt Stud, Savage-Stevens part 24-255, the stud used with the stock bolt in a Tenite stock on the Savage 24 family, the Stevens 94 and 107 single barrels, and the 22-410 combination gun.
A Tenite stock takes a three-piece set — stock bolt 24-254, stud 24-255, lock washer 24-256. The walnut stock that replaced it uses only stock bolt 94-252 and washer 94-253, with no stud at all, which is the quickest way to tell whether this is the part you need. The factory listed all three Tenite pieces through the 1963 Shooter’s Bible; the 1968 edition printed 24-254, 24-255 and 24-256 in a boxed panel as obsolete, superseded by the 94S-708 wood stock. Savage had been out of Tenite stocks themselves since at least the 1955 parts catalog, so the hardware outlived the stocks by more than a decade.

The T-suffix numbers are the catalog’s own naming for the Tenite variants, but match on the stock actually in your gun rather than on the model letter — both materials were sold across the range.
Does not fit:
- Walnut-stocked guns of the same models. Those use stock bolt 94-252 and washer 94-253 — no stud.
- Stevens 311, 311A, 311T, 530, 530A doubles. Their Tenite stud is 311T-255, a different part. Worth knowing because the bolt (24-254) and lock washer (24-256) do cross to those guns — the stud is the one piece in the set that does not.
Fitting: Drop-in stock hardware. No fitting beyond checking the threads run clean before you draw the bolt up.

Condition: Finish is white steel — bare and unblued, uniform gray, with the original machining marks still showing on the body. A few light lengthwise scratches and one small dark blemish mid-body. No rust and no pitting anywhere on it.
