This is the Flaig’s Ace trigger shoe No. 3, the number 3 fitting from Flaig’s chart.
A trigger shoe clamps over the existing trigger to widen its face, spreading the pull across more of the finger. Flaig’s numbered its shoes by trigger profile rather than by gun, so one number covers an assortment of unrelated firearms that happen to share a trigger of the same shape and width. That is why a Colt .45 Auto and a Remington 870 sit on the same line.
Flaig’s Gun Shop was founded at Millvale, Pennsylvania in 1935 by Edwin, Alfred and Charles Flaig, and ran into the 1980s. It built custom Mausers, imported Ferlach guns, and sold accessories under the Ace name.

Fitting: This is a fire control accessory. Have it fitted by a gunsmith, who should confirm the shoe is square on the trigger, clamped tight, and clear of the trigger guard through the full stroke. Function-check on an empty chamber before loading, and confirm the trigger returns fully forward with the shoe in place. A shoe that projects beyond the trigger or works loose can catch on a holster or the guard.

Condition: Even dark grey finish overall with light high-point silvering along the ribs and edges. Scattered fine handling marks, no nicks, rust, pitting or flaking. Serrations are sharp and fully defined with no rounding or polishing from use. Both set screws present, seated, with clean unrounded hex sockets. Threads in both holes look clean and undamaged. Underside shows original machining marks and no spreading, galling or distortion at the jaws. The ACE and numeral markings are crisp and fully legible. No cracks, bends or repairs.
