The Armasight BNVD-40 is a professional-grade Gen 3 dual-channel night vision binocular built for tactical and observational use. The binocular uses twin 1x27mm objective lenses to deliver a wide 40-degree field of view with true stereoscopic depth perception, giving the user natural three-dimensional vision in low-light and no-light conditions.
This configuration is equipped with white phosphorus image intensifier tubes (minimum FOM 2000), which produce a crisp black-and-white image with enhanced contrast and detail recognition compared to traditional green phosphor. The system runs for up to 20 hours on a single AA alkaline or CR123A battery, and an integrated infrared illuminator is built in for close-range tasks in total darkness.
The rugged housing supports handheld, head-mounted, helmet-mounted, or weapon-mounted use, and either channel can be powered down independently to convert the unit into a single-tube monocular when mission requirements call for it.
