This is the Crosman 38T 38C Sear, fitting both the Target and the Combat CO2 pellet revolvers.
Crosman built the 38 series from 1964 into the mid-1980s: the 38T as the Target model and the 38C as the Combat, both double-action CO2 repeaters running on a single Powerlet, in .22 through the early years and .177 later. Crosman divides the run into Phase I and Phase II, separated mainly by the rear sight, but within those phases there were further changes — three different triggers over the production life, along with variations in the hammers and safety links.
That matters when ordering. The model name and even the phase will not tell you which internals your gun has. Compare the part in your pistol against the photos before buying.

Not verified: We have not compared this against the Crosman Model 44, the .177 single-action repeater built 1976 to 1981, or against every trigger variation within the 38 series run. Match on features before ordering.
Fitting: This is a fire control part and should be fit by someone comfortable inside these pistols. Compare the nose, the pivot hole and the engagement step against the sear coming out of your gun before installing. Once assembled, function check the action dry, with no Powerlet installed and no pellets: confirm the hammer holds at cock, that it does not drop when the frame is bumped, that the trigger releases and resets cleanly in both single and double action, and that the safety functions in both positions. Do not install CO2 or load pellets until it passes.

Condition: Used, with the original black finish largely intact. Light scattered flecking where the finish has thinned across the flats, and bright contact wear along the curved lower face and at the engagement step, both from normal cycling. No rust, no pitting, no chips. The nose is square with no rounding or peening, the pivot hole is round with clean bore walls, and the part is straight and true.
