Description
The Kershaw Launch 17 (model 7951) is a USA-made push-button automatic folding knife built for everyday carry and hard-use cutting tasks. Part of Kershaw’s popular Launch auto series, this side-opening folder delivers fast, reliable deployment and a clean, modern profile inspired by traditional fighting-knife designs.
The 3.5″ clip point blade is precision-ground from premium CPM-S35VN stainless steel with a plain edge and a tough black Cerakote coating that resists corrosion, scratches, and glare. S35VN is widely respected for its balance of edge retention, toughness, and easy sharpening, while the clip-point profile excels at detail work, piercing, and general utility cutting.
The handle pairs a gray anodized 6061-T6 aluminum frame with textured black G10 inlays for a confident grip in wet or dry conditions. An integrated pocket clip is included for secure tip-up carry. The Launch 17 measures 8.45″ overall opened and 4.95″ closed, making it a compact, ready-when-you-need-it folder proudly made in the USA.
