This Mossberg 500 cartridge interrupter works with the cartridge stop to control shells leaving the magazine tube, releasing one at a time as the action cycles. Factory part 7607.
The current-production interrupter, and one of the widest-fitting parts in the gun — Mossberg catalogs it across the 500, 535, 590, 835 and Maverick 88, in both 12 and 20 gauge. Early guns use a different part, as do the 16 gauge and .410.

Does not fit the 590M or 590RM, per Mossberg; early production guns, which use 1588; the 16 gauge, which uses 1870; or the .410, which uses 2362.
Fitting: Have a qualified gunsmith fit this and function-check feeding before the gun is loaded.
