Description
The Mossberg Patriot LR Tactical is a precision-oriented bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 PRC, purpose-built for long-range shooting and tactical applications. Built around an adjustable, customizable chassis system, this Patriot variant pairs Mossberg’s proven push-feed bolt action with a modern tactical-style stock and a threaded barrel ready for suppressor or muzzle-device mounting.
The rifle features a 22-inch medium bull barrel finished in matte blued steel with a 1:8 twist rate optimized for stabilizing a wide range of 6.5 PRC bullet weights. The barrel is threaded for easy installation of a muzzle brake or suppressor, and the action is topped with a matte blued Picatinny rail for straightforward scope or red-dot mounting. No iron sights are included, allowing the shooter to choose their preferred optic. A lever safety at the rear of the receiver provides intuitive thumb-friendly operation.
At the heart of the rifle’s accuracy is Mossberg’s adjustable LBA trigger, which lets the user dial in a clean, crisp break to suit the application. The action feeds from a detachable AICS-pattern magazine with a 10+1 capacity, making it well-suited for precision shooting and tactical training. The right-hand platform pairs the barreled action with an MDT Oryx Tactical chassis stock in Flat Dark Earth (FDE), featuring M-LOK slots along the forend for accessory attachment and adjustable ergonomics for a tailored fit.
With an overall length of 44.25 inches and a weight of approximately 9.40 lbs, the Patriot LR Tactical strikes a sensible balance between portability and stability for prone or supported shooting. The result is a feature-rich, factory-built long-range rifle ready to mount your favorite optic and head to the range.
