Description
The Mossberg Patriot Single Shot Sled is a drop-in conversion that turns any Mossberg Patriot bolt-action rifle with a short action into a compliant 1-round single-shot setup. Originally developed for hunters working within state-level magazine-capacity restrictions, this sled replaces the factory detachable box magazine so the rifle will only accept and feed a single round at a time.
The sled is rated as multi-fit across the Patriot short-action family and is compatible with popular chamberings including 243 Win, 308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, 22-250 Rem, 7mm-08 Rem, 6.5 PRC, 350 Legend, and 450 Bushmaster. It is not intended for long-action Patriot calibers. The body is molded from durable black polymer for snag-free feeding and light carry weight, tipping the scales at roughly 0.21 lb.
Installation is tool-free: simply remove the standard Patriot magazine and drop the sled into the factory magazine well, then load a single round directly into the chamber through the action. It’s a simple, affordable solution for hunters navigating magazine restrictions, range training, or anyone wanting to simplify a Patriot rifle for a younger or new shooter.
