Description
The Mossberg Patriot Walnut is a classically-styled bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in the modern straight-walled 400 Legend cartridge. This full-size Patriot pairs a 20-inch matte blued threaded barrel with a matte blued drilled and tapped stainless steel receiver, offering a traditional platform ready for scope mounting and the addition of a muzzle device or suppressor.
At the core of the action sits Mossberg’s adjustable LBA trigger, allowing shooters to fine-tune the trigger pull to personal preference. The action is complemented by a classic crossbolt safety and feeds from a detachable 4-round box magazine for a total 4+1 capacity. A 1:16 twist rate is well-matched to the heavier, straight-walled projectiles that make 400 Legend a popular choice for hunting in straight-walled cartridge states.
The Patriot Walnut wears a traditional fixed walnut stock with a dark finish, sized for right-handed shooters, and tips the scales at 7 lbs with an overall length of 40.25 inches. The rifle ships with no iron sights installed, leaving the receiver open for optics, while the threaded muzzle and drilled/tapped receiver make it a versatile, value-rich bolt-action rifle for hunters and recreational shooters.
