Description
The Proof Research Ascension is a precision bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, engineered for hunters and shooters who demand match-grade accuracy in a lightweight, carry-friendly package. At the heart of this rifle is Proof’s patented carbon fiber-wrapped, match-grade barrel, which sheds significant weight while delivering the consistency and accuracy of a premium stainless steel bore.
This Ascension features a 20″ carbon fiber-wrapped barrel with a 1:10″ twist and a threaded muzzle in a 5/8×24 pattern, ready for your preferred muzzle device or suppressor. The action is a right-handed black titanium Zermatt TI3, prized for its combination of strength, corrosion resistance, and light weight. A lever safety and a premium TriggerTech trigger provide a crisp, clean break for precise shot placement.
The True Flat Dark Earth (TFDE) Monte Carlo stock features a raised comb for proper eye alignment with scoped optics, giving the rifle a classic sporter profile that handles naturally in the field. The Ascension is offered in a 4+1 capacity configuration, ships with no iron sights so you can mount the optic of your choice, and weighs in at approximately 6.15 lbs, an ideal balance for mountain hunting, open-country stalking, and long-range work where every ounce matters.
