Description
The Rio Ammunition Game Load is a hunting-grade shotshell purpose-built for upland bird and small-game hunting in 28 Gauge. Each 2.75″ shell is loaded with 1 oz of 6 lead shot and pushed to a 1200 fps muzzle velocity, producing a balanced, dense pattern well-suited for doves, quail, and similar upland game.
Rio’s Game Load line is designed for reliable ignition and consistent patterns in light-recoiling 28-gauge field guns, both vintage and modern. Built on standard 16mm brass-base hulls, these shells feed smoothly in break-action and semi-auto 28-gauge shotguns commonly used for small-game hunting.
Whether you’re walking fall cover with a classic side-by-side or working birds over a dog, these Game Load shells deliver the payload and pattern density that upland hunters expect from Rio Ammunition.
