The Spyderco Persistence Lightweight takes Spyderco’s proven workhorse folder and reworks it on an injection-molded FRN platform that sheds ounces while keeping the cutting geometry that made the original a budget-friendly favorite. It centers on a 2.75″ 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade finished in non-reflective black oxide, with a plain edge sized right for everyday carry, package duty, and general utility cutting.
The blade deploys through Spyderco’s signature thumb hole for confident one-handed opening. Instead of G-10, the Lightweight carries molded black fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle scales dressed with aggressive Bi-Directional Texturing for traction in any grip position. The scales ride over steel liners that form the backbone of the folder’s lockup and deliver the strength a daily-carry work knife demands.
The Persistence Lightweight measures 4.13″ closed and runs 6.85″ overall when open, with a total carry weight of just 3.30 oz. A pocket clip ships with the knife for secure everyday carry.
