The Spyderco Shaman (C229GS) is a hard-use folding knife based on the proven design theme of the iconic Spyderco Native, scaled up roughly 20 percent for a fuller grip and more cutting edge. It carries a 3.58″ serrated CPM S30V stainless steel blade with a stonewashed finish, built for serious everyday cutting tasks and made in the USA.
At 8.25″ overall open and 4.67″ closed, with a 5.2 oz carry weight, the Shaman delivers a hand-filling, no-nonsense feel. Spyderco’s signature Compression Lock secures the blade under hard use, while the round thumb hole provides fast, ambidextrous one-handed opening. A reversible pocket clip is included.
Black textured G10 handle scales offer excellent grip security in wet or dry conditions, and the reversible pocket clip supports tip-up or tip-down carry on either side. Purpose-built as a versatile daily-carry workhorse, the Shaman bridges classic Spyderco design and modern hard-use expectations.
