Description
Sterling Big Game Series 12 Gauge Tornado Slug – 1 oz – 2.75″
The Sterling Big Game Series Tornado Slug (8698779959166) is a high-performance 12-gauge rifled slug specifically engineered for deep penetration and massive energy transfer on large game. Designed in Turkey, the “Tornado” slug features a unique aerodynamic shape with spiraled rifling ribs that induce spin even when fired through a smoothbore barrel. This design significantly improves flight stability and accuracy at extended ranges compared to traditional smooth-sided slugs.
Generating a formidable muzzle velocity of 1460 FPS and over 1600 ft-lbs of energy, this 1 oz lead slug is a top-tier choice for deer and wild boar hunting, as well as a reliable option for home defense. The cartridges are built with high-quality transparent hulls and high-brass heads to ensure smooth cycling in semi-automatic shotguns and pump-actions alike. Whether you are navigating thick brush on a hunt or practicing at the range, the Sterling Tornado Slug provides the consistent “knock-down” power needed for big game encounters.
Note: While designed to perform in smoothbore barrels, these slugs can also be used in rifled choke tubes or fully rifled barrels for enhanced precision.
