Description
The Taurus 856 T.O.R.O. is a compact six-shot .38 Special +P revolver built on a small stainless steel frame with a durable matte black finish on the barrel, cylinder, and frame. Sized for everyday carry and home defense, it pairs a 3″ barrel and 7.50″ overall length with a manageable 23.5 oz weight.
The 856 T.O.R.O. runs a proven DA/SA (double-action/single-action) trigger with an exposed hammer for both rapid double-action fire and precise single-action work. A transfer bar safety blocks the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled, and the black rubber grip provides a secure, comfortable hold under recoil. Sighting is handled by a removable front blade paired with a fixed rear groove.
The defining feature of this 856 is the T.O.R.O. (Taurus Optics Ready Option) system, which allows a compatible micro red dot sight to be mounted directly to the frame for faster target acquisition and improved accuracy. Six rounds of .38 Special +P in the cylinder give this revolver the stopping power needed for personal protection.
