Description
The Taurus Defender 605 is a compact, easy-to-conceal revolver purpose-built for personal defense. Chambered in 357 Magnum with the flexibility to run 38 Special +P, this small-frame, double-action/single-action five-shooter pairs a 3″ barrel with a 5-round cylinder and a distinctive Sniper Green stainless steel frame that stands out from standard matte black or stainless revolvers on the market.
Built around Taurus’ proven small-frame revolver platform, the Defender 605 pairs a matte black barrel and cylinder with a green-finished frame for a modern, tactical look. The exposed hammer lets the shooter run the gun in traditional single-action for precise shot placement, while the smooth double-action trigger pull is ideal for fast follow-ups under stress. At an overall length of 7.50″ and a weight of 23.52 oz, the Defender 605 is light enough for comfortable all-day carry yet heavy enough to manage magnum recoil without beating up the shooter’s hand.
Practical defensive features include a night front sight paired with a fixed rear for intuitive sight alignment in low light, plus the soft, secure feel of Hogue finger-grooved rubber grips that absorb recoil and fill the hand naturally. Compact, reliable, and chambered for serious defensive ammunition, the Defender 605 is a versatile concealed-carry or home-defense revolver that delivers the proven stopping power of 357 Magnum in a small, easy-to-pack package.
