Description
The Weatherby Vanguard Compact Hunter is a right-hand bolt-action rifle chambered in .223 Rem, built around the Vanguard action and a cold hammer-forged barrel for proven out-of-the-box accuracy.
At the core of the rifle is a 20-inch cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel finished in Tungsten Gray, mated to a matching Tungsten Gray stainless steel receiver. The barrel is threaded and ships with Weatherby’s Accubrake recoil-reducing muzzle brake installed, with the same threading ready to accept a suppressor. A 1:9″ twist stabilizes a wide range of .223 Rem bullet weights.
The Vanguard action uses a one-piece machined and fluted bolt body, paired with an adjustable two-stage match trigger and a three-position safety. Internal box magazine capacity is 5+1 rounds.
The injection-molded composite Monte Carlo stock is finished in Black with Gray and Orange sponge accents (Camouflage finish group) and offers adjustable length of pull from approximately 12.5″ to 13.625″ for a tailored fit across a wide range of shooters.
Weighing 6.50 lbs and measuring 39″ to 40″ overall, the Vanguard Compact Hunter in .223 Rem is a lightweight, suppressor-ready rifle delivering Weatherby cold hammer-forged barrel quality in a compact, right-hand build.
