Description
The Winchester SXP Hybrid Hunter is a purpose-built pump-action shotgun chambered in 12 Gauge with a 3.5″ magnum chamber, designed for duck, goose, and other waterfowl hunting. The Hybrid Hunter wraps Winchester’s proven Super X Pump action in dedicated hunting trim aimed at the marsh and field.
This model pairs a 26″ back-bored vent-rib barrel with a Flat Dark Earth (FDE) finished barrel and receiver. The barrel is built around Winchester’s Invector-Plus choke system and ships with three flush-mounted choke tubes – Full, Improved Cylinder, and Modified – to cover a wide range of waterfowl and upland hunting scenarios. The hard-chromed bore and chamber help the gun cycle cleanly through heavy 3.5″ magnum loads and resist corrosion in wet hunting conditions.
Furniture is finished in Realtree Max-7 camouflage for effective concealment in marsh and field environments. A fixed stock keeps weight down to 6.14 lbs for comfortable all-day carry, and the overall length measures 47″. The shotgun holds 4+1 rounds of 2.75″ shells in the magazine tube, with the 3.5″ chamber accepting the full range of 12-gauge loads from light target shells up through 3.5″ magnum waterfowl loads.
Up top, the vent rib is fitted with a TruGlo fiber-optic front sight for fast target acquisition in low light. Controls include a reversible crossbolt safety at the rear of the receiver that can be swapped for left-handed use, and a drop-out trigger group that simplifies routine cleaning and maintenance.
