Description
- Additional information
This is the Remington 552 572 magazine ring, the collar carrying the outer magazine tube beneath the barrel.
Two different actions, one part. The 552 Speedmaster is a semi-automatic and the 572 Fieldmaster a pump, but Remington built them around a common magazine arrangement, so the tube components serve both. Both feed .22 Short, Long and Long Rifle interchangeably from the same tube.
The Fieldmaster arrived in 1956 and took a good deal of its design from the Model 870 shotgun; the Speedmaster followed in 1957. Both had long runs, the 572 continuing until 2020.
Included: One of the magazine rings pictured. Sold individually.
Fits:
- Remington 552 Speedmaster
- Remington 572 Fieldmaster
Compare against: the short-barrelled 552C carbine carries a shorter magazine tube. We have not confirmed whether the ring itself differs, so match on features before ordering.
Does not fit:
- Remington 550, the earlier semi-automatic
- Remington 510, 511, 512 and 513 bolt-action .22 rifles
- Remington Nylon 66, 76 and 77
Fitting: Once fitted, confirm the outer magazine tube seats square and locks positively before the rifle is loaded.
Please note: Buyer is responsible for verifying correct fit for their specific firearm. Installation should be performed by a qualified gunsmith. Please review all photos, as they are part of the description and show the actual item you will receive.
Condition: Used. Black finish largely intact with light scuffing and scattered handling marks. Threads clean and undamaged. Bores clear, no dents or distortion to the rings.
