This is the Remington 510 511 512 Sear, fitting Remington’s .22 bolt action family across both the wood-stocked and nylon-stocked guns.
The 511 opened the series in 1939. The 513 followed in 1940 in sporter and target versions, the 513T Matchmaster being a nine-pound target rifle that stayed in the catalog until 1969. The 521 arrived in 1947 as a seven-pound junior target rifle and ran to 1968.
In the early 1960s Remington dropped the same bolt action into a nylon stock and sold it as the Nylon 10, 11 and 12 — single shot, clip-fed and tube-fed. The stock material changed and the trigger group did not, which is why one sear covers rifles that look nothing alike on the rack.

Does not fit: The Nylon 66, 76, 77 and 10C. They share the Nylon name and the stock material but are built on different actions — semi-automatic and lever — and are cataloged as a separate parts family. Also does not fit the Model 514 single shot, which is cataloged on its own.
Fitting: This is a fire control part and should be fit by a qualified gunsmith. Compare the engagement notch, the hole and the overall profile against the sear coming out of your rifle before installing. Once assembled, function check on an empty rifle before loading: confirm the striker holds when the bolt is closed and when the rifle is bumped, that the trigger releases cleanly and resets, that the bolt operates normally, and that the safety functions in both positions. Watch for the striker following the bolt down and for failure to hold at cock. Do not load the rifle until it passes.

Condition: Used, in an even dark finish with the original machining marks still visible across the flats. No rust, pitting or chips. Bright wear shows along the top edge of the arm and at the engagement step. Both holes are round with clean bore walls.
