This Ithaca Model 51 bolt is a stripped bolt body for the Ithaca Model 51 Featherlight semi-automatic shotgun in 12 gauge. The Model 51 was Ithaca’s gas-operated autoloader, using a rotary bolt that locks into a barrel extension.
Ithaca produced the Model 51 from the late 1960s through the mid-1980s in 12 and 20 gauge. Early guns used a first-pattern gas system, mid-1970s production represents the peak of the design’s quality and refinement, and late-production guns show cost-cutting and inconsistent fit and finish as Ithaca approached bankruptcy.
Fits: Ithaca Model 51 Featherlight, 12 gauge.
Included: Stripped bolt body only. No extractor, firing pin, firing pin spring, locking components, or bolt carrier included.
Fitment: Ithaca Model 51, 12 gauge. Given the design changes across the Model 51’s production run, compare against your existing bolt and the photos before ordering. Installation should be performed by a qualified gunsmith, and headspace and lockup should be verified before the shotgun is used.
Please note: Buyer is responsible for verifying correct fit for their specific firearm. Installation should be performed by a qualified gunsmith. Please review all photos, as they are part of the description and show the actual item you will receive.
Condition: Bright finish with no significant blemishes
