This is the Savage Front Operating Handle Collar for the Savage Models 30 and 79 and the Springfield Model 67 pump shotguns in 12 gauge.
Savage sold the same basic pump gun under several names over a long production run, which is why one collar covers the Savage 30, the later 79, and the Springfield 67. Springfield was Savage’s house brand, so a 67 is the same gun under a different rollmark.
This collar carries wrench marks on the outer face from removal, priced accordingly. The marks are cosmetic and do not affect the threads or the fit. If you want a cleaner example, see the ones listed separately.

Fitting: The collar retains the forend on the action slide assembly. A worn or loose collar shows up as a forend that rattles, shifts on the tube, or works loose in use. After installation, check with the gun empty that the forend is secure with no play and that the action cycles fully and smoothly through its stroke.

Condition: Used collar retaining most of its dark blued finish, with light wear on the raised curve of the body. Wrench marks are present on the outer face, showing as bright gouges and scratches on the lower half where a tool gripped the part. Some surface rust specks in the threads. The threads are complete and undamaged, the cutout is true with no chipping, and the body is round with no distortion.
