This is the Noble shotgun sear, for Noble’s Model 60 series pump guns and the Western Field versions Noble built for Montgomery Ward.
Noble built these on one action and catalogued them together in a single factory parts list. The suffix letters mark gauge, barrel length or trim rather than a different mechanism, which is why one sear covers what reads as a long list of models. The Model 60 carried an adjustable choke; the 65 is the same gun with the choke left off and sold cheaper.
Montgomery Ward sold the same guns as Western Field, using the XNH prefix as its code for Noble-built firearms — the way 04M marked a Mossberg and 10-SD a Stevens. Noble listed those Wards models in its own parts catalog next to its own, so the fitment carries.
Noble Manufacturing was a small shop in Haydenville, a village in Williamsburg, Massachusetts, incorporated in 1943 and building to a budget price. It went into bankruptcy at the end of the 1960s and closed for good in 1973. These parts have had no factory source for over fifty years.

Fitting: This is a fire control part. Have it fitted by a gunsmith and function-check the shotgun on an empty chamber before loading. Confirm the sear holds the hammer at full cock, that the gun does not fire on closing the action, that it fires one shell per trigger pull, and that the trigger resets cleanly.

Condition: Even grey phosphate-type finish overall, intact with light scattered handling marks and no rust, pitting or flaking. Engagement surfaces are cleanly formed with no chipping, rounding or peening visible. Pivot hole is round and unelongated with clean edges. The raised lug and all step surfaces are sharp and well defined. Original machining marks remain visible across the flats. No cracks, bends or evidence of stoning, grinding or other alteration.
