Description
- Additional information
This is the Marlin 80 81 trigger, the old style, for Marlin’s earlier bolt-action .22 rifles.
Marlin used two triggers in these rifles. This is the earlier of the two, so a later gun takes the new style trigger. Compare the trigger in your rifle against the photos before ordering.
The 80 series is clip-fed .22 Long Rifle and the 81 series tube-fed.
Included: Trigger only, the exact part pictured.
Fits — old style guns only:
- Marlin 80, 80C, 80DL and 80E
- Marlin 81, 81C and 81DL
Does not fit:
- New style examples of these same models, which take the new style trigger
- Marlin 980 Magnum, which used the new style trigger only
Fitting: This is a fire control part. Have it fitted by a gunsmith and function-check the rifle on an empty chamber before loading. Confirm the sear holds at full cock, that the rifle does not fire when the bolt is closed briskly, and that the trigger resets cleanly.
Please note: Buyer is responsible for verifying correct fit for their specific firearm. Installation should be performed by a qualified gunsmith. Please review all photos, as they are part of the description and show the actual item you will receive.
