This 1903A3 butt swivel is the stamped pattern in chrome, correct for parade and drill rifles. Marked R for Remington. Remington-manufactured swivels carry the R marking, while Smith-Corona parts are typically unmarked.
Chrome-plated M1903A3 rifles were used by honor guards, drill teams, and ceremonial units, where the bright finish was preferred over the Parkerized service finish.
Fits: U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, M1903A3.
Fitment: Correct for chromed parade and drill rifles. This swivel will physically fit a standard service M1903A3 or an earlier M1903, but the chrome finish is not correct for a period military restoration. Please refer to the photos and compare against your existing swivel before ordering.
