Old Model means the three-screw frame, built from 1953 to 1972 in something over half a million examples. The New Model of 1973 brought a transfer bar and two pins in place of the three screws.
Included: One of the loading gates pictured. Sold individually.
Fits:
- Ruger Single Six, Old Model three-screw, contoured gate production
- Super Single Six and the .22 WMR convertible versions on the same frame
Does not fit:
- Flat gate Single Sixes, the earliest production
- New Model Single Six, from 1973 onward
- Ruger Bearcat and Super Bearcat

Fitting: Have it fitted by a gunsmith. Confirm the gate closes flush with the frame, that the detent holds it shut, and that it clears the cylinder through a full rotation.
