Description

  • Additional information

This is the Clerke First .22 LR cylinder assembly, six shot, for the Clerke Technicorp revolver.

Clerke Technicorp grew out of Eig Cutlery and built these in Santa Monica in the 1970s, filling the gap the 1968 Gun Control Act import rules left in the cheap handgun market. One frame served three chamberings — .32 S&W, .22 LR and .22 blanks — with the works common to all three, so the frame tells you nothing about what your gun takes. Count the chambers instead: the .32 S&W cylinder holds five, this .22 LR cylinder holds six.

Included: One .22 LR cylinder assembly, the exact part pictured.

Fits:

  • Clerke First revolvers chambered in .22 LR, roll-marked Clerke’s 1st, Mfg. Clerke Technicorp, Santa Monica California

Note on variants: Clerke First .22 LR cylinders are found with two front face profiles, square and tapered. This is the tapered variation, which is the most common. The two are otherwise identical in our measurements. Compare the front face against your own cylinder and the photos before ordering.

Fitment: This cylinder is chambered in .22 LR. It will not accept .22 WMR and is not a .22 Magnum cylinder. It will not fit a .32 S&W gun. Verify your chambering, count your chambers and compare against the photos before ordering.

Fitting: Cylinder fit, timing and headspace should be checked by a qualified gunsmith before the revolver is used.

Please note: Buyer is responsible for verifying correct fit for their specific firearm. Installation should be performed by a qualified gunsmith. Please review all photos, as they are part of the description and show the actual item you will receive.

Condition: Used, in the original nickel finish, dulled overall to a grey tone with fine scratching across the cylinder body. The plating has flaked away across much of the rear face, leaving irregular patches of exposed base metal. Cosmetic only, with no rust anywhere and no lifting at the edges of the remaining plating. All six chambers are clean and unpitted with no ringing or bulging. The ratchet is intact, teeth square and unrounded. The locking notches are clean with no peening or burring, and the crane is straight with a round, unwallowed hole. No cracks.
