This is the Ruger 10/22 magazine latch, factory part B-34, black, for the 10/22 Carbine and 10/22 Magnum.
Introduced in 1964, the 10/22 uses a rotary magazine that sits flush with the stock rather than the protruding box magazines used on most rimfires of the period. This latch is what retains it.

Condition:
Used. Black finish largely intact with light scuffing and scattered handling marks. Pivot hole clean and round with no elongation. Latch face and paddle undamaged, no chips, cracks or distortion. See photos.
