This is the Clerke First hand, the part that rides the ratchet and turns the cylinder, for the Clerke Technicorp revolver in .32 S&W.
Clerke Technicorp incorporated in Santa Monica in 1972 and built these to fill the gap the 1968 Gun Control Act import rules left in the cheap handgun market. One frame served three versions — .32 S&W, .22 LR and a blank-firing starter pistol — so most internals carry across all three. The hand does not. The .32 gun holds five rounds and the .22 holds six, so the two turn their cylinders through different arcs and take different hands. This is the five-shot .32 part.

Does not fit: the six-shot .22 LR guns. The frame is shared across calibers, so this part will go into a .22 gun and will not time it correctly. Count the chambers in your cylinder before ordering — five means this is your part, six means it is not.
Fitting: Replacing the hand affects timing and it should be fitted by a qualified gunsmith. Check the revolver on empty chambers before loading: confirm the cylinder carries fully to each chamber and the stop drops into its notch before the hammer reaches full cock, at every chamber, with no drag or over-rotation.

Condition: Used, in comparable condition across the group. White steel, unfinished as made rather than a worn finish, with light scuffing on the flats. The tip that bears on the ratchet is unchipped and unrounded on both, the bodies are flat with no bend or twist, and the pivot holes are round and unwallowed. The stepped notch at the tail is crisp with square corners. No rust, pitting or cracks.
