This is the Jennings J-22 Slide with Extractor, chrome finish, cut for the late up and down sliding safety, for the Jennings and Bryco J-22 pistol in .22 LR.
The J-22 is a striker-fired blowback pocket pistol that Jennings Firearms introduced in the 1970s, later built by Bryco Arms and eventually by Jimenez Arms as the JA-22 after Bryco’s 2003 bankruptcy. The safety changed across that run, and the slide is machined differently for each type. The early gun used a safety that moved back and forth; the later one moves up and down. The two slides are not interchangeable, and this is the one thing to check before ordering.
Identifying features: Marked JENNINGS J-22 .22LR on one side, and on the other the Jennings figure logo with Jennings Firearms by Bryco Arms, Irvine, CA, U.S.A. No F or S markings. The early Chino, California slides carry an F and an S stamped on the side; if yours has those, it is the early type and this is not your slide. You can also just look at the safety on your pistol — front to back is early, up and down is this one.

Condition: Chrome is bright and reflective on both sides, with fine handling scratches, light swirl marks and a few small nicks visible under direct light, none through the plating. Markings are crisp and fully legible on both sides. Front sight blade intact, rear notch clean and unpeened. The interior is unplated zinc showing casting texture, with grey and pale green oxidation and dark fouling around the breech and ejection port. Rails straight with no visible chips. Extractor in place. Safety cut clean and unspread.
