This is the Rohm RG-10 RG-12 hand, for Röhm’s six-shot double-action revolvers.
The hand rises with the hammer and bears on the cylinder ratchet to index the next chamber. It is the part that sets timing, and these revolvers are known for losing timing with use — the frames are zinc alloy with steel barrel and cylinder, and wear shows in the indexing before anywhere else. That is usually what brings an owner looking for one.
Röhm built both at Sontheim an der Brenz. The RG-10 is chambered .22 Short on a barrel of about two and a half inches; the RG-12 is .22 Long Rifle on a longer barrel. Both load through a side gate. Imports ended with the Gun Control Act of 1968, so guns in the United States are pre-1968.

Fitting: The hand governs timing. Have it fitted by a gunsmith and check the revolver on empty chambers before loading. Confirm the cylinder carries fully to each chamber and locks before the hammer falls, at every chamber, with no drag or over-rotation.

Condition: Used hand assemblies in a silver finish, with original machining marks visible across the flats. Wear shows as light darkening and scattered specks, with no rust or pitting. The pivot holes are open with no elongation, the curved bodies are true with no bends, and the spring arms are intact and correctly formed on each piece.
